02 · Processing

What data we process and for what purposes

This website collects personal data through two channels only. The first is the contact form, through which you may provide your name, organization, role, email address, phone number, country, subject and message. This data is collected, stored and used for the following purposes: to handle and respond to your inquiry; to manage any institutional, business, bidding or press relations arising from it; and to maintain any contact that you yourself request.

The second channel is cookies: the technical cookies needed for the site to operate (WordPress and Cloudflare) and the cookie that stores your language preference. Since October 20, 2026, the site has also used Google Analytics 4 to measure visits in aggregate, as explained in the Cookie Policy.

The site does not sell anything online, does not require user registration and does not request sensitive data (data that affects the data subject’s privacy or whose misuse could lead to discrimination). Should you choose to include data of that nature in your message, providing it would in any case be optional, and no step in handling your request is conditional on it.

03 · Authorization

Prior and informed authorization

Before submitting the contact form, you grant your authorization by checking a box that is not pre-checked and that links directly to the Personal Data Processing Policy. Under Article 7 of Decree 1377 of 2013, silence is never deemed to constitute authorization, and MARA Limitada keeps proof of the authorization granted.

04 · Your rights

Rights you hold as a data subject

Under Article 8 of Colombian Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to: know, update and rectify your personal data held by MARA Limitada, including data that is partial, inaccurate, incomplete or whose processing has not been authorized; request proof of the authorization granted, subject to the exceptions provided by law; and be informed, upon request, of how your data has been used.

You may also access, free of charge, your personal data that has been processed; revoke your authorization and request the deletion of your data when legal principles, rights and guarantees are not respected, unless there is a legal or contractual duty to remain in the database; and file complaints with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), Colombia’s data protection authority, for violations of the law, once you have completed the inquiry or claim procedure directly with MARA Limitada.

05 · Procedure

How to exercise your rights and response times

Any inquiry, claim, deletion request or revocation of authorization may be submitted, free of charge, to protected email, stating your identification, a description of the facts, a contact address and any documents you wish to rely on.

Inquiries are answered within a maximum of ten (10) business days from receipt; if that is not possible, you will be informed of the reasons and of a new response date, which will not exceed five (5) additional business days (Article 14, Law 1581 of 2012). Claims are addressed within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days from the day after receipt; if that is not possible, you will be informed of the reasons and of a new date, which will not exceed eight (8) additional business days (Article 15, Law 1581 of 2012).

If a claim is incomplete, MARA Limitada will ask you, within five (5) days of receiving it, to remedy the deficiencies; if two (2) months pass without a response from you, you will be deemed to have withdrawn the claim. Only after completing this procedure with MARA Limitada may you file a complaint with the Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), in accordance with Article 16 of Law 1581 of 2012.

How to access the Processing Policy

MARA Limitada’s Personal Data Processing Policy, which sets out in detail the processing operations, procedures and those responsible for handling requests, is permanently available at maraltda.com/en/legal/tratamiento-de-datos. Any substantial change to it will be announced through this same channel before it takes effect.
