SG-SST under Decree 1072 of 2015
Implemented in line with Decree 1072 of 2015 and current Colombian regulations.
We run a structured occupational health and safety management system (SG-SST, as required by Colombian law), with a focus on remote sites where medical care and emergency response call for their own protocols.
When you build in high mountains, on an oceanic island or in a rainforest far from any hospital, safety protocols save lives. MARA’s safety system is designed for those conditions.
Implemented in line with Decree 1072 of 2015 and current Colombian regulations.
Each biome has its own risk matrix: páramo (cold, altitude), rainforest (disease vectors, wildlife), islands (sea, salt), steep slopes (landslides).
Evacuation procedures, satellite communication where needed and coordination with local health and rescue services.
Inductions and refresher inductions for site personnel, plus specific training for each biome and the machinery in use.
We track accident frequency and severity rates on every project.
The HSE team reports directly to MARA’s technical management, with an annual internal audit of SG-SST compliance.
