MARA Limitada was founded in Tunja, Boyacá, in November 1987. We started out building public civil works in eastern Colombia (rural roads, housing, schools and community infrastructure) and, over time, specialized in the places where environmental, social and logistical complexity is greatest: National Natural Parks, forest reserves, post-conflict areas and biodiversity corridors.
Today we work in at least thirteen of Colombia’s departments and combine two lines of work: conventional civil works for the public and private sectors, and specialized construction in protected natural areas for international cooperation agencies, environmental funds and Colombia’s environmental authorities.
