In Tayrona National Natural Park, on Colombia’s Caribbean coast in Magdalena, MARA built timber structures for the park’s visitor areas: the entrance portal, raised footbridges over the low-lying sections of the trail and a visitor services building.
Tayrona is one of Colombia’s most visited parks. Building there means working around the flow of visitors, under the park’s environmental guidelines, with timber as the main material: framing, lattices, decking and railings worked out piece by piece.
